About

I write cartoons for a living.

Those are the six greatest words I’ve had the privilege of saying. Which speaks volumes considering I’ve also said the following:

  • “I won the Nintendo GameCube raffle!” (Age 7)

  • “Snow day! Snow day! Snow day!” (Age 9)

  • “These nachos are actually free?” (Age 16)

  • “The Cubs won the World Series!” (Age 24)

In my professional life, I’ve not only met my industry heroes, but worked alongside them. I’ve written for both television and film, 2D and CG. My only goal is to continue telling engaging stories and say those six words for a long time (the one about cartoons, not nachos).

In my spare time, I like to:

  • Take motorcycles apart (and occasionally put them back together)

  • Lose at chess

  • Sew dresses and jackets for fiancé

  • Make giant candles (4 wicks is my record)

  • Take pictures of birds (with their permission, of course)

And finally, dear reader, if you’re interested in talking about cartoons, stories, writing, or giant candles, feel free to drop me a line.
