Screenplays

Welcome To Hell

After defying corporate red tape, a lowly bureaucrat in Hell becomes the underworld’s most wanted.

This feature animated screenplay was inspired by my short story “Satan’s Cake” where Hell is reimagined as a stodgy government bureaucracy. The story’s hero, Dinky, is a demure rule-follower whose life is flipped upside when a homicidal fallen angel mistakes him for Satan. At its core, it’s a story about finding the guts change the (under) world.

Secret Santa

Do you ever wonder what Santa does those other 364 days? Oh, you don’t? Well, allow me to continue on the assumption that you did.

Trouble is brewing among the other holiday icons. A newcomer has kidnapped St. Patrick to develop the next big holiday and stick it to the big guy. However, Santa spends day and night, training as a secret agent for such calamities.

Santa spends this 22-minute animated pilot thwarting evil and finding an anniversary present.

Squirrel  and  Banana

A tale as old as time: a Squirrel and her banana embark on misadventures atop a flying watermelon.

In this 11-minuted animated pilot, the titular rodent and produce crash land in a backyard, where unknown dangers lurk. They meet allies and enemies, among them: a traumatized tennis ball; gossiping mice; and a rabid raccoon.

Come along on this potassium-powered adventure.

Bob’s Burgers - Spec Script

As a compulsive writer, my fingers fiend for keyboard fuel (lest I turn into Jack Nicholson from The Shining). When an original concept is eluding me, I like to turn to existing shows to write for. The process will differ, but the first step is always the same: the imaginary phone call…

Buzz. Buzz… Buzz. Buzz…

“Honey, have you seen my phone? I think it’s ringing. Nevermind, I found it… Hello?”

“Hello Charlie. This is the president of Fox Animation, you don’t know my name because you never read the trades.”

“Oh, hello.”

“We’re in a pinch! We need a Bob’s Burgers episode yesterday!”

“I’m on it!”

In this episode: Louise enlists the help of professional wrestlers to toughen Gene up, while Bob must moonlight as a figure drawing model.
